Tibetan Monks Create Ceremonial Sand Mandala

When: Wed., May 15, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Thu., May 16, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Fri., May 17, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. 2024

Telfair proudly announces the return of the Tibetan monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery to the museum to create a healing sand mandala at the Telfair Academy. During construction, the lamas (monks) will create the mandala by painstakingly pouring the sand from traditional metal funnels called chak-purs.
