Whale Week: North Atlantic Right Whale Day
The day will be filled with several activity stations, book readings, and art making. The Humane Society, Marine Resource Council, Oceana, and Tybee Island Marine Science Center will be on hand to lead activities. Students from the school will begin work on a North Atlantic right whale quilt, which will eventually travel to the State Capitol to remind elected officials to protect the coast.
