World Affairs program: From Tall Ships to the Digital Economy: Growing U.S. Trade in a Complex Global Environment

Ms. Terry Smith Labat is the Senior Policy Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Analysis in the International Trade Administration (ITA) at the U.S. Department of Commerce. ITA works to expand U.S. trade through increased exports and inward foreign investment that will create and support U.S. jobs. Ms. Labat also is serving as the Acting Director of ITA’s Office of Intellectual Property Rights that works to promote and protect the use of intellectual property in international trade.
