Celebrate World Oceans Day at the UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium on June 10 from 10 – 2 p.m. Throughout the day, we will be celebrating oysters, an important coastal habitat that provides a wealth of benefits to marine life and coastal communities.
As part of the celebration, we will debut a special art exhibition at the aquarium, “SUBMERGED: An Underwater Exhibition of Bioceramic Artwork,” that will feature pieces created by GSU Assistant Professor Casey Schachner and her students. Staff with the Shellfish Research Lab will be offering oyster-themed activities for all ages. This is a free event!
