Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Violent Crimes Detectives are investigating a shooting on the 2500 block of Oak Forest Road.
"Around 7 p.m. Thursday Akee Bush, 23, of Savannah attempted to rob Matthew Monahan, 19 from Pembroke. An altercation took place between the two men and both men were shot. Detectives are still investigating the circumstances which led up to the shooting," police say.
Bush was pronounced dead at the hospital, police say. Monahan is in stable condition.

According to reports, police seek 20-year-old Malique Francis in the shooting death this morning of a young female in what police are calling a domestic dispute. The shooting happened a few blocks from Savannah High School and Savannah Gardens, with the school going on lockdown for a time. Francis is described as a black male, six feet tall, "armed and dangerous."
UPDATE: Francis was found dead in a home on the 2200 block of Iowa Street nearby after an extensive manhunt.

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives "ask the public’s help in obtaining information on a Wednesday morning shooting near the 100 block of West 33rd Street, that injured three males and claimed the life of one female," police say.
At about 1:22 a.m. Metro received a ShotSpotter alert, "immediately followed by reports of shootings from dispatch and Savannah Fire Department (SFD). Metro arrived to the area, finding shooting victims Jamond Heyward, 17, Brandy Council, 34, Jarrett Myers, 40, and Jeran Washington, 52," police say.
"Council succumbed to her injuries. Heyward, Myers and Washington were transported by ambulance to Memorial University Medical Center with non-life-threatening wounds," police say.
Detectives believe there were at least two shooters in this case.

"Just after 3 a.m. Metro responded to the scene, finding Hollis suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported by ambulance to Memorial University Medical Center," police say.
"Investigators believe Hollis was shot during an armed robbery near Howard Street. The shooter ran east. Hollis sought help at a nearby night club on the 2300 block of Bull Street."
The suspect is described as black male in his late teens to early 20s, standing about 5-7 to 5-8 and weighing roughly 120 pounds. The suspect’s face is clean shaven. He has a short haircut.
"A red hoodie, dark blue jeans and white Nike shoes were worn during the incident. Several additional black males wearing hoodies were with the suspect during the shooting," police say.

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police, along with City traffic engineers and the Citizens Office, are coordinating with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office regarding funeral plans for the late Chatham County Sheriff Al St. Lawrence.
"Hundreds of sheriffs, police chiefs, law enforcement officers and dignitaries are expected to attend the funeral on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in downtown Savannah," says Michelle Gavin, community relations administrator for SCMPD.
Parking will be prohibited on Abercorn Street between Gordon and Liberty streets and on Lincoln Street between Gordon and Liberty streets beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The roads will be closed to motorists beginning at 11 a.m.
A processional will take place following the funeral service from the Cathedral to Bonaventure Cemetery. Law Enforcement officers will be blocking traffic at intersections on Liberty Street, Wheaton Street, Skidaway Road and Bonaventure Road.
"Officers will be working diligently to reopen the roads as quickly as possible," police say.

The victim, a 20-year-old female, was reportedly parked at a dead end on Grove Point Road, when approached by an unknown male who demanded her vehicle. The victim reportedly refused and was then sexually assaulted by the suspect.
"This event was reported to SCMPD on Monday," notes Eunicia Baker of the SCMPD's Public Affairs Office.
The suspect is described as having a medium build and tanned skin. He wore a ball cap during the incident. The suspect was picked up in a navy blue van, resembling a small camper, with an opening on the roof and a ladder attached to its side. Several other males were in the van. One of the males may have been white.
