Film: Ladybug, Ladybug
This criminally unknown gem of a low-budget independent picture is a stark, B&W drama about the threat of nuclear war and its impact on both children and adults. Made while the 1962 Cuban Missle Crisis was still fresh in all Americans' minds, it was based on the true story of a small, rural U.S. elementary school whose teachers, staff and students were briefly confused as to whether or not news of imminent nuclear missile attack was an actual threat or merely a warning drill.
