One of the earliest color movies ever made, this landmark creepy horror film about a madman who lurks inside of an old wax museum, trapping and killing those who cross him. It stars Lionel Atwill and "King Kong" actress Fay Wray, and was directed by the late, great Michael Curtiz, one of the most prolific filmmakers in the early days of Hollywood, who also directed "Casablanca," among many other classics. The last film ever shot using Technicolor's original process, all copies of this film were believed to be lost until a rare print was discovered in 1978. That's the version the PFS will screen.
