ON::VIEW Residency: Weaving the Fabric of Our Community

In order to develop a greater understanding of the fabric of our community, Suzy Hokanson will weave together textiles and textures that define Savannah. Community members will be encouraged to bring items of discarded clothing or materials from their environment (i.e. wrappers, twigs, leaves, yarns, etc.) that will be woven into long banners that will be draped in the space as they are completed. Visitors will be encouraged to weave in their own offerings as well as the completed handwritten statement “My community is...”
