Once Upon a Summer: 'Shrek'

A misunderstood ogre (Mike Myers) who only wants to be left alone reluctantly agrees to rescue a princess in hopes of reclaiming his swamp from an invasion of talking pigs, wayward wooden boys, and near-sighted rodents banished there by a lord with a very small castle. But he gets more than he bargained for when a wisecracking donkey (Eddie Murphy) tags along to Duloc, and the princess (Cameron Diaz) proves determined to micromanage her own rescue. Add a curse, a dragon, and a band of merry men, and you have a fantastically fractured fairy tale overflowing with wit and heart.
