Pan Dulce
“Pan Dulce,” by MFA Fibers Candidate, Christa Mares, embraces and examines a Latina/o bicultural phenomenon that exists within a personal sphere. The mixing of materials and processes engage a curiosity of how to make sense of accumulation, collage, and layered methodologies that form a cultural amalgam and dialogue. Mares’s work explores history, spirituality, display, and abundance though floral and cultural imagery that brings forth a sense of the memorial.
